Described as having an “iron fist surrounded by a velvet glove,” Adina has more than 20 years of experience working exclusively in the field of trusts and estates. During that time she has worked on several complex and contested proceedings both in the United States and abroad.

Admitted to the New York State Bar, she is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New Rochelle Bar Association.  She completed her law degree at the Yeshiva University – Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law has served as a Managing Editor of the Cardozo Women’s Law Journal as well as working as a research assistant to Professor Michael Herz assisting in the publication of a widely used legal textbook, Elements of the Law.  Her Bachelor of Arts is from New York University where she graduated cum laude and was admitted to the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.

Before working at Lewis and Garbuz, P.C. Adina had interned with the Honorable Budd Goodman, New York State Supreme Court, at the National Council for the Child in Jerusalem, Israel as well as having worked at the New York State Attorney General’s office, Bureau of Consumer Frauds and Protection.  Adina also worked at the Women’s Health Initiative at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine as part of a ground-breaking national study that researched long term effects of diet, health, and lifestyle, and hormone replacement therapy in postmenopausal women, and lectured regularly on these matters. Her desire to advocate for the personal needs of vulnerable populations such as the elderly, minors and persons with disabilities has now carried through to her legal practice where she with her partner, Lawrence Garbuz, and our whole legal team strive daily to provide excellent personalized, accessible and competent legal advice to individuals.
